Paul Atreides is Duke Letho and Lady Jessica's son. When you meet him he has just arrived on Dune. He is a member of the House Atreides family and the one who will take charge over the Atreides occupations. At first his mission must be to rally an army, and the only way of doing so is to try to convince the native Fremen that they must help him. The enemy is called House Harkonnen and they are in control over large areas of Dune. When Paul arrive to Dune, the house of Atreides does not control a single army on it. It is up to him (after his fathers death) to rally Fremens and train them into good warriors. When that is done he can take up the battle with the house Harkonnen. |
